Kate's Stuffing

1 medium onion, diced
1/4 cup of butter
6 to 8 slices of bread, toasted and diced
3/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp sage
1/4 tsp paprika
1 egg, slightly beaten

Place diced onions in a microwaveable bowl with butter and cook on high for 3 minutes. Mix seasonings and egg with the cooked onions. Stir in bread cubes, making sure that they are well coated. Moisten with part of the liquid from a partially baked chicken. Place stuffing in the cavity of the body and finish baking. (This recipe is especially good with cornish hens.
